Count Dracula, a fictional character in the Dracula novel, was inspired by one of the best-known figures of Romanian history, Vlad Dracula, nicknamed Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), who was the ruler of Walachia at various times from 1456-1462. Born in 1431 in Sighisoara, he resided all his adult life in Walachia, except for periods of imprisonment at Pest and Visegrad (in Hungary).

Dracula Prince of Darkness is a good sequel from Hammer. Made 8 years after the original this movie is probably more darker than the first and has been expertly directed by Terence Fisher. So this movie is indeed well done but I was expecting more. The characters here are a little wooden and Dracula himself does not turn up until halfway through the film. I also wasn't entirely satisfied with.

LUKE EVANS IN DRACULA A nother of HOLLYWOOD SPY's pet stars Luke Evans has a new mate in the cast for Universal's historical epic DRACULA scheduled for August next year. Dominic Cooper has just joined Evans, in the title role, and Sarah Gadon (from WORLD WITHOUT END epic mini series) and will possibly play Turkish sultan Mehmed who ruled the Balkan peninsula in the medieval period of prince.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness is a 1966 British supernatural horror film directed by Terence Fisher. The film was produced by Hammer Film Productions, and is the third entry in Hammer's Dracula series, as well as the second to feature Christopher Lee as Count Dracula, the titular vampire. It also stars Andrew Keir, Francis Matthews, and Barbara Shelley.

Dracula by Steven Dietz closely follows the source material of the novel. The suspenseful story is based on the classic legend of the Transylvanian vampire Dracula. The lead characters in the play work to piece together Dracula’s identity. They make a valiant attempt to stop him from taking new victims. Dracula is considered a technically challenging play from a production standpoint.
